Summary of View Operations
SELECT TOOL
or Menu > View > Normal View
Returns to the Select Mode (can also be accessed via the Esc Key).
PAN VIEW TOOL
or Menu > View > Pan View
Moves the viewport around with continuous left-click.
ROTATE VIEW TOOL
or Menu > View > Rotate View
Rotates the viewport about the WCS origin via continuous left-click (different rotation axis for right-click).
ZOOM TOOL
or Menu > View > Zoom > Dynamic
Zooms into or out of a structure via continuous left-click and dragging mouse up or down.
ZOOM TO EXTENT TOOL
or Menu > View > Zoom > Extends
Automatically zooms to fit the whole structure into the main window. In the Four-port View Mode, right-clicking this button zooms to fit in all four viewports.
ZOOM TO WINDOW TOOL
or Menu > View > Zoom > Window
Draw a window to define the zoom-to boundaries.
ZOOM TO SELECTED TOOL
or Menu >View >Zoom >Selected
Automatically zooms to fit the highlighted object into the main window.
UNDO VIEW CHANGE TOOL
or Menu >View >Undo View
Reverts viewport to previous view angle and distance.
SPLIT VIEWPORT
or select View >Split Viewport
Displays a four-port view of the project workspace.
MERGE VIEWPORT
or select View >Merge Viewport
Merges the four-port view into the normal single-port view.
Seven standard views are available and can also be accessed from the View menu:
PERSPECTIVE VIEW
or select View >Set View >Perspective View
Sets an isometric view of the structure on an XY-plane.
FRONT VIEW
or select View >Set View >Front View
Projects the structure on to an ZX-plane
BACK VIEW
or select View >Set View >Back View
Projects the structure on to an ZX-plane
TOP VIEW
or select View >Set View >Top View
Projects the structure on to an XY-plane.
BOTTOM VIEW
or select View >Set View >Bottom View
Projects the structure on to an XY-plane.
LEFT VIEW
or select View >Set View >Left View
Projects the structure on to an YZ-plane.
RIGHT VIEW
or select View >Set View >Right View
Projects the structure on to an YZ-plane.
