Stop with this nonsense. Why then did Dan definitively come out and say that its not true? He has no reason to lie. He simply wouldn't have commented on it at all. You are just butt hurt that your theory was immediately shot down. Either that or a troll trying to rake the muck.

I really don't think its that complicated. Dantonio said guys float in and out of the 12 person leadership council all year long. Cook wasn't on it at the time they voted for captains, removing his eligibility. People seem to think its a red flag if the starting QB isn't a captain, but the team culture isn't like that at all, and the QB position isn't predisposed to being a captain. Hell, our kicker Conroy was a captain in 2012. I think the coaches like it that every leader is weighed equally, regardless of position or talent. This isn't the NFL where jackasses like Suh are captain just because they are who they are.
