/* Two Distinct Simulation Modes */
Two Distinct Simulation Modes
B2RF.Spice A/D now has provides two distinct simulation modes: interactive live "Live Simulations" and preset non-interactive "Predefined Tests". There are important differences between a Test test and a Live Simulation. These differences live simulation that must be understood before you can effectively use B2RF.Spice A/Deffectively.
A live "Live Simulation" is simply a continuous transient simulation, starting which starts at time t = 0 and incrementing increments indefinitely by a user-defined time period. Simulations can be paused and continued but they run continuously until they are stopped, paused or reset. Simulations Live simulations can be stimulated by virtual instruments such as like Function Generator or Power Supply, and their results can be measured by virtual instruments such as like Oscilloscope, Ammeter, Voltmeter, etc. and can be manipulated in real time from the Circuit Parameters Panel in the Toolbox. Instead of using virtual instruments, you You can also use regular voltage or current source devices sources to excite your circuits circuit during a live simulation or use probes or circuit animation to display node voltages and currentsin real time. You can vary your circuit's parameter values in real time from the "Circuit Parameters" panel of the toolbox and observe the circuit's response immediately.
"Predefined Tests", on the other hand, are run with some advance planning and preset and predefined sets of simulation parameters. You can run Teststests are used to analyze your circuit in various time and frequency domains. These include a circuit's and characterize its DC bias (operating point), transient and steady-state AC responses, its noise outputperformance, network characteristicsparameters, as well as various other responsesetc. The output results of RF.Spice A/D tests are displayed on a graph graphs or tabulated in a table, not on virtual instrumentstables.
