/* Defining the Physical Structure in EM.Ferma */
EM.Ferma offers the following types of material objects for construction of your physical structure:
* Perfect Electric Conductor Conductors (PEC) Objects : A perfect electric conductor (PEC) is a material with εr = 1 and σ = ∞. * Dielectric/Magnetic Materials: You can define dielectric materials with the relative permittivity εr and electric conductivity σ for electrostatic analysis or magnetic (permeable) materials with the relative permeability μr for magnetostatic analysis. Click here for a general discussion of Defining Materials in EM.Cube.
EM.Ferma also offers the following types of source objects for excitation of your physical structure:
To add a new Fixed-Potential PEC group to a project, right-click on "Fixed-Potential PEC Objects" on the Navigation Tree, and select "Insert New PEC..." From the PEC dialog, you can change the default red color and set a value for the "Voltage" in Volts.

Dielectric/Magnetic Materials
In EM.Ferma, you can define dielectric materials for electrostatic analysis and magnetic (permeable) materials for magnetostatic analysis from the same section of the navigation tree titled "Dielectric/Magnetic Materials". For a dielectric material, you specify the relative permittivity εr and electric conductivity σ. For a magnetic material, you specify the relative permeability μr.
